What does the job look like?
Reporting to the Group Manager - WHSE, you will play an integral in promoting a positive work health and safety culture to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses to employees, contractors and visitors. Key areas include:
- Provide specialist advice and support to achieve a WHS culture, instilling responsibility of safety awareness.
- Provide safety management system support, including incident/hazard reporting and investigations.
- Advise, support, coach and lead WHSE Committee’s and manage BU monthly meetings
- Ensure compliance and completion of risk assessment in line with Group methodology and legislation
- Actively promote behaviours that support the Armaguard Group’s vision of an injury free workplace.
- Ensure initiatives and key learnings are shared across the Region, as well as assisting in audits and management reports
- Update and maintaining records as well as overseeing the provision of first aid officers, fire wardens and emergency response processes
- Create and maintain a safe working environment by proposing injury reduction initiatives and share ideas to the National Safety Team

To be successful, you can demonstrate:
- Relevant experience and qualifications in Work Health and Safety
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to influence, direct and coach others
- Effective communication with stakeholders and liaising with team members across multiple sites developing and maintaining strong working relationships
- Experience in MS Office applications with high analytical skills
