What does the job look like?

As an Aviation Training Coordinator in our newly created division, ARMSEC, you will focus on leading, managing and continuously enhancing and maintaining the organisation’s aviation training program. This includes developing and maintaining training and assessment materials to meet business needs, ensuring competency across operational teams, and maintaining compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.

Key areas include:

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and interpretation of aviation legislation including ATSA, ATSR, ASN and ICAO requirements
• Develop, deliver and maintain aviation training programs and assessment materials
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and organisational training requirements
• Maintain accurate training records, licences, and certification tracking (e.g. ASIC)
• Monitor regulatory updates and implement changes to training programs and documentation
• Deliver training sessions and assess competency across operational teams
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external bodies including CASA and Department of Home Affairs
• Support onboarding and ongoing development of aviation security staff
• Provide regular reporting on training compliance and workforce capability

Are you the one?

You are a detail-oriented and compliance-driven professional with experience in aviation operations or training. You thrive in a regulated environment and are passionate about developing people and maintaining high standards.

You can demonstrate:

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in aviation (essential)
• Certificate II in Transport Security Program (TSP) (essential)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong understanding of aviation legislation and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical training outcomes
